Being that I am 3 days shy of 36 weeks I decided it was time to go ahead and start putting a hospital bag together. I've been thinking about it for a while and what I wanted to put in it, just hadn't actually done it yet! There will be some things though that don't go in until go time though. Like makeup and hair stuff, I don't want to live out of a suitcase if the little guy ends up going another 4 weeks or more. I also still have to put in my iPod and things to keep me relaxed and entertained.
Wonder how many people actually pack their bag ahead of time? I thought about just waiting since everyone says I will need something to do during the hours before I need to actually go into the hospital. Though my mom's first labor was only three hours so if I am anything like her I won't have a lot of time to hang out at home! Did any of you pack a bag ahead of time? What all did you put in it?
I have never had to pack a hospital bag, but the last time I was physically in the hospital, there was only one thing that I was dying without: a deck of cards. When people came to visit me there was only so much talking I could do, and it really helped to break up the visits. Enjoy and good luck!
